How the RE5 exam is actually written
RE5 is a 50-question multiple-choice paper written in 2 hours at a Moonstone or FSCA approved venue, and you need 65% to pass — that is 33 correct answers with no room for lazy guessing. The questions are drawn from the official qualifying criteria (the RE5 tasks), so every task in that document is fair game, and the paper deliberately uses answer options that are close to each other.
That format is why reading alone rarely gets people through. Candidates who fail almost always know the content in general terms but cannot apply it to a specific scenario under time pressure. This pack is built the other way around: learn the task, then answer questions on it until the wording no longer trips you up.
- 50 multiple-choice questions, 2 hours, 65% pass mark
- Written at an approved venue and booked through Moonstone
- Questions map to the official RE5 qualifying criteria tasks
- Answer options are close together, so partial knowledge is punished
A four-week RE5 study plan using this pack
The plan is simple: two tasks a week, every week, for four weeks. The RE5 qualifying criteria are broken into eight tasks, and the study guide follows them in order, so each week you work through the next two tasks in the guide and make sure you understand them before moving on.
At the end of the four weeks, write the full mock exam under exam conditions — closed book, two hours, no phone. If you fail it, do not book the real exam yet: go back to the tasks you struggled with, rework the summary document and reference guides, and rewrite the mock until you pass.
You also get WhatsApp mentorship for as long as you are studying, so when a section will not make sense you can send us the exact question rather than lose an evening to it.
- Week 1: study Task 1 and Task 2 in the guide
- Week 2: study Task 3 and Task 4 in the guide
- Week 3: study Task 5 and Task 6 in the guide
- Week 4: study Task 7 and Task 8 in the guide
- End of week 4: write the full mock exam — failed? Repeat the weak tasks and rewrite until you pass, then book your RE5 exam

Yes. Everything is a searchable PDF, so you can read on a phone, tablet or laptop and print only the mock exams you want to write by hand.
